How to Order Your Photo Slate

1. Choose your size – 11cm × 11cm (£6), 16cm × 16cm (£12) or 20.7cm × 20.7cm (£15).
2. Upload your favourite photo when ordering.
3. Add text if you’d like it personalised further.
4. If you’d like to see your design before printing, request a preview when placing your order.

If you’re unable to upload your image, you can email it along with any text you’d like added to wendy@hugbox.co.uk.

IMAGE – Choosing Your Photo

Please send the best quality image you have for the best possible result.

Photos taken on a mobile phone of an existing photograph can be used, but please be aware that any glare, reflections or imperfections visible in the original photo or the photograph you’ve taken will also appear on your finished slate.

Your photo slate is square, so images with a different shape or aspect ratio will be cropped to create the best fit. Please keep this in mind when choosing your image, particularly if important people or details are close to the edges of your photograph.

TEXT – Adding Your Own Message

Text is optional. If you’d like text added to your photo slate, please let me know when placing your order and send the wording along with your image.

You could add a name, date, short message, quote or other wording to make your slate even more personal.

PREVIEW – Check Before Printing

I always try to create the best possible layout using the image and text you provide.

If you’d like to see your design before it is printed, simply request a preview when ordering. Please carefully check the spelling, wording and text position on your preview.

Once you approve your personalised design, it will be printed and prepared for dispatch, so changes cannot be made after approval.

Please note that colours shown on your screen may vary slightly from the colours on your finished glossy slate due to differences between screens and printing processes.

If you don’t require a preview, I’ll use my best judgement to create your finished photo slate using the information and images you’ve provided.

Where do you deliver?
Photo Slates can be delivered to UK mainland postcodes. We’re based in East Kilbride, Scotland, but you can send a personalised Photo Slate to someone anywhere on the UK mainland.

How much is delivery?
Delivery for Photo Slates is £4.99, using a tracked courier service. The delivery charge reflects the weight and careful packaging required to safely send the natural slate.

How quickly will my Photo Slate be dispatched?
Photo Slates are generally dispatched within 48 working hours. Personalised orders may take longer if there are issues with the quality or suitability of the supplied photo, or if a preview is requested and approval is required before printing.

Can I send a Photo Slate directly as a gift?
Yes. A personalised Photo Slate can be sent directly to the recipient, making it a thoughtful way to turn a favourite photograph into a lasting keepsake.
